Prepares switching orders for railroad yard switching crew:
Types or writes switching orders to inform switching crew of
railroad yard, location, disposition, and number of railroad
cars to be switched for loading, unloading, makeup, and breakup
of trains, based on information received from Yard Manager (r.r.
trans.) and other personenl or records. Keeps record of and
reports movement and disposition of railraod cars for Yard
Manager (r.r. Trans.).
May count and record number of cars
remaining in yard each day. May telephone various personnel to
verify locatoin of railroad cars.
